Expanding Regional Engagement in the South Asian Travel Market
India continues to emerge as one of Nepal’s most important regional source markets for trekking and adventure tourism. With a steadily increasing number of Indian travellers choosing iconic routes such as Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, and Langtang Valley, the need for reliable safety infrastructure and professional on-ground support has never been greater.
Recognising this growing demand, Himalayan Guardian Nepal (HGN) participated in the Travel & Tourism Jamboree (TTJ) in Pune, a leading B2B travel networking event that connects tour operators, travel agencies, and destination specialists from across India and South Asia.
Meaningful Dialogue on Safety and Emergency Preparedness
HGN’s presence at TTJ Pune provided a valuable platform to engage directly with Indian travel agencies and tour operators, facilitating informed discussions around altitude-related risks, emergency preparedness, and rescue coordination in the Himalayas.
Many partners expressed a strong interest in structured safety frameworks that enhance traveller confidence without compromising the adventure experience. Through these conversations, HGN highlighted its role as a dedicated on-ground safety partner-offering professionally managed emergency response solutions, risk mitigation planning, and region-specific expertise tailored to Himalayan environments.
